My love for travel started when I got my first proper job as a travel agent back in 1997 – at the age of 16. I was fresh out of school, had never been abroad, and was super eager to learn everything and anything to do with travel. I worked very hard and eventually worked my way up to becoming a shop manager, even opening my own store in Burnley in 2004.

After a break from the travel industry to pursue a career as a Primary School teacher, I was drawn back to my love of travel. In 2019, I decided to leave teaching behind and put all my energy into doing a job I absolutely love — researching, planning, booking holidays, and creating precious memories to cherish forever! I joined Designer Travel and have never looked back!

I’ve been lucky enough to travel to some amazing places — over 40 countries so far, with an ever-growing wish list! If I had to pick my top five destinations, it would have to be South Africa, the Maldives, Thailand, New York, and Greece. I am obsessed with travel and I can offer personal experience in many destinations and also have influential contacts all over the world! 

I understand that finding the perfect holiday can be daunting, but I believe it should be a pleasurable experience. I’ll look after you every step of the way — from your initial enquiry, right up until the day you come home. I have so many wonderful clients who book with me year after year and 90% of my business is made up of repeat clients and recommendations — something I’m immensely proud of!

Not only do I work with the best of the best in the travel industry, I also have a team of incredible people alongside me to ensure all my clients enjoy the most unforgettable holidays. 

My assistant, Jan Buchan, lives in Stourport-on-Severn in Worcestershire and has also been in the travel industry for over 25 years. She helps me complete final departure checks, collect passport information for API requirements, arrange special requests, and ensures every client feels like a VIP.

After taking a break from running her own successful travel business to spend time with her beautiful grandchildren, she missed the buzz of travel and wanted to keep her mind active — so she joined me in looking after my clients and their holidays. She’s fabulous and cares about your holiday just as much as I do!

I also have an amazing admin team working behind the scenes in Ramsbottom. These guys are just awesome — they help send out tickets, confirmations, balance reminders… and so much more!

I also work with over 400 incredible travel suppliers to create tailor-made travel experiences and  wide rage of options for all my clients at competitive prices. You will only ever deal with me – no long call waiting times or faceless automations!
